While ESPN’s College GameDay officially returned last week, veteran analyst Lee Corso had the week off, meaning he made his season debut for the show on Saturday in Charlotte.
However, while analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee made their College Football Playoff predictions last week on the show, Corso revealed his picks this week.
In a video posted by Herbstreit, Corso predicted that Georgia, Texas, USC and Michigan would earn CFP berths at the end of the year. In the end, Corso believes USC will take down Georgia in the national championship game.
Although Corso said Georgia has “the most talented roster in college football,” he thinks USC head coach Lincoln Riley is “the best play caller in college football.”

USC enters the season with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in Caleb Williams. With Williams expected to head to the NFL next year, the time is now for the Trojans.
Corso was the only member of the ESPN panel to pick USC to reach the Playoff, and he’s the only one to leave Alabama out of the final four. Additionally, at the end of the video, Corso gave a sneak peak for his upset pick next week, picking Texas to defeat Alabama next Saturday.
