Lee Anderson exposes the rabid subconscious of the Tories on immigration

DEPUTY chair of the Conservative Party Lee Anderson has enjoyed his time in the political limelight this week, doing a starring turn as the Tories’ rabid, frothing id, telling asylum seekers to “f*** off back to France”.

The Ashfield MP sparked outrage on Tuesday in an interview with the Dail Express, in which he claimed “people have just had enough” in response to concerns about the safety of the floating barge the Bibby Stockholm.

Speaking just after the first migrants came aboard, Anderson told the paper: “If they don’t like barges then they should f*** off back to France.”

Many were outraged by the comments – but he took to GB News the following day to defend his comments, which he said were “borne out of me being absolutely furious” with the Government’s record on immigration.

It seems the woke blob now also includes the actual Conservative Government for overseeing record levels of immigration to the UK.

Anderson said the Government had “failed” on immigration and reiterated his calls for asylum seekers to “go back to France” if they had complaints about the UK.

His comments were branded “despicable” by SNP home affairs spokesperson Alison Thewliss, who added: “Such a sweeping statement oversimplifies a complex and humanitarian issue.”

Such chiding wouldn’t deter 30p Lee, who again appeared on GB News to triple down on his comments, saying he’d stayed in worse accommodation than the Government’s floating barge during holidays to Blackpool.

“I have stopped in worse accommodation in Skegness, in Blackpool, in Scarborough, in Whitby and all around the country,” he said.

“And did I moan? No, I went for a nice weekend, had a lovely time and didn’t complain to anybody.

“Anyone that is complaining about the standard of luxury accommodation, I stand by my words – they should go back to where they came from.”

Meanwhile, we spoke with someone who, unlike Anderson, had actually been on the Bibby Stockholm.

SNP councillor Ruairi Kelly stayed on the barge while he was working in Shetland nearly a decade ago and told us it would feel “like a prison” to the asylum seekers on board.
