While LeBron James’ exact place among the greatest players in NBA history is an open and ongoing debate, there is no doubt he has had an illustrious career.
His story — growing up disadvantaged in Northeast Ohio, meeting the hype that surrounded his arrival to the NBA and becoming an all-time great — has inspired and impressed many around the nation.
One of the most impressive things James has done is to give back and assist others who are disadvantaged or simply struggling to get by. His foundation has established House Thirty Three, a facility in his native Akron, Ohio, that has a Starbucks that prepares employees to have successful careers in the hospitality industry.
House Thirty Three also has a museum that will highlight James’ biggest career accomplishments.

“A multimedia experience, the museum will include a re-creation of the apartment where he and his mother, Gloria, lived along with items from his childhood, high school playing career and championship runs with Cleveland, Miami and the Los Angeles Lakers.
“… Among the items on display will be the all-white suit James wore at the 2003 NBA draft, his jersey from the McDonald’s All American Game and an original backboard and rim from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, where James first caught the attention of basketball fans as a teenager.”
This museum will open to the public on Nov. 25.

James is still playing at a high level in his 21st NBA season, and perhaps he will have more to add to this museum in the months and years to come.
