The 2021-22 season was a rough one for Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis.
He missed about half the season with multiple injuries, and although he often played well when he was available to play, fans gave him lots of criticism for being injury-prone and not consistently aggressive.
New head coach Darvin Ham said in his introductory press conference that Davis will be the key to the team being successful next season.
He is likely right, as Davis will need to return to his old dominant self, not just offensively but especially on the defensive end.
LeBron James seems confident that Davis will do just that, and he even took to social media to remind the rest of the NBA of how great he is.
The University of Kentucky product averaged 23.2 points on 53.2 percent shooting, 9.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots a game.
Those numbers are very strong, but the main bone of contention with him is his history of getting injured and missed games, especially in the past two seasons.
If Davis manages to avoid any significant injuries this coming season, look for him to have a monster year.
