LeBron James is defending Caitlin Clark against some of the recent criticism she has faced after the Fever struggled in multiple games to start the WNBA season.
The Fever’s woes are hard to ignore. As dynamic as Caitlin Clark is, she can’t get them out of the basement yet. Caitlin, Aliyah Boston, NaLyssa Smith, Kelsey Mitchell and the whole team will have to figure it out.
But, as they find their way, LeBron James says we should appreciate what Caitlin Clark is doing for the WNBA. Here’s what he recently shared while appearing on his Mind The Game podcast with J.J. Redick:
“The one thing that I love that she’s bringing to her sport: more people want to watch, more people want to tune in.”
“Don’t get it twisted. Don’t get it [expletive] up. Caitlin Clark is the reason why a lot of great things is going to happen for the WNBA…I’m rooting for Caitlin because I’ve been in that seat before. I’ve walked that road before.”
Here’s what @KingJames has to say about @CaitlinClark22 and the hate that she has received during her time in the WNBA.
