The Los Angeles Lakers have been shorthanded for the past few days.
When they took on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, Anthony Davis came down with flu-like symptoms. He insisted on being in the starting lineup and trying to play, but he left early in the first quarter and didn’t return while also missing Wednesday’s contest versus the Toronto Raptors.
LeBron James also sat out of Wednesday’s game with ankle soreness. Not surprisingly, the Lakers lost both games.
With their record on their current six-game East Coast road trip now at 2-2, they face a relatively big game on Friday against Joel Embiid, James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Luckily, James and Davis will return for this game, as will guard Patrick Beverley, who was out on Wednesday.
Darvin Ham says Anthony Davis and Patrick Beverley will also return to the lineup tonight, along with LeBron James.

Davis previously said the Lakers’ goal for this road trip is to go over .500. By defeating the Sixers on Friday, they can likely achieve that goal, as the final game of the trip will be Sunday versus the 7-20 Detroit Pistons.
