On July 20, Team USA men’s basketball faced South Sudan, a relatively undermanned squad, in an exhibition game. It was facing an embarrassing defeat until LeBron James saved the day with the game-winning shot in the final seconds.
On Wednesday, the two teams faced off again, this time in official group play. This game was a much different story, as the United States didn’t take long to get out to a sizable lead, and it maintained that advantage en route to a 103-86 victory.
It spread the wealth around, as six players scored in double figures. LeBron James filled up the stat sheet with 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting, seven rebounds and five assists. However, he did have six turnovers.
But he did provide some highlights for the fans in attendance in Paris.

Anthony Davis chipped in eight points, seven rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots and one steal in 19 minutes, and as usual, he made his impact felt.
