Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on Beirut, labeling it as a clear violation of international law. Mikati expressed his dismay over the attack that resulted in the deaths and injuries of numerous Lebanese citizens, referring to it as a criminal act during an interview with the National News Agency (NNA).
Mikati urged the international community to take action and hold Israel accountable for its aggression, emphasizing the need for compliance with international resolutions to maintain peace and stability in the region. He highlighted the indiscriminate nature of the Israeli attacks, which targeted various regions in Lebanon, including southern Lebanon, El-Beqaa, and even the capital city of Beirut, where a major hospital is located.
On the other hand, Ali Ammar, a member of parliament and Hezbollah official, reiterated the stance of the resistance group in response to the assault. Ammar emphasized that the resistance would not remain silent in the face of such aggression, asserting that the bloodshed would not be in vain. He underscored the determination of the resistance to defend the Lebanese people against external threats and incursions.
