People in properties west of Ulan Road in the Cook's Gap and Ulan areas should shelter now, and are being warned that it is too late to leave.

Further north at Kyogle another emergency warning is in place for the blaze at Upper Horseshoe Creek. The fire is under control, but people living near Barkers Vale have been told to shelter in place.

Several other fires are at watch and act level, with a total of 112 incidents statewide.
