A driver who was breaking at least six rules of the road attempted to hide from Gardai to avoid a fine or an arrest.
Officers attached to the Drogheda Roads Policing Unit (RPU) were on patrol recently in Louth.
They spotted that something was up with a vehicle that had been driven past them and attempted to investigate further.

However, the motorist had hidden the car away.
But their attempt at a trick didn't work, as Gardai soon found the vehicle and driver and realised just why they had tried to hide.
The learner driver had broken six rules of the road, putting not only their own life in danger but other road users.
They were fined for the following:
- They were a learner driver who was unaccompanied
- They had no L plates on their car
- They had no tax
- The car hadn't a valid NCT
- A small child was not restrained in a proper car seat
- One of the vehicle's front tires was bald.
All of those issues added up to hefty fines for the driver.
In a separate incident, officers in Dublin arrested a driver - after noticing that something was a bit off about the way they were moving.
Officers attached to the Dublin Castle Roads Policing Unit (RPU) were on patrol recently in the city and noticed some "poor driving" from a vehicle near them.
They investigated further and pulled the driver over to ask a few questions.
A quick drug test saw the driver test positive for cannabis.
They were arrested and will now face further action.
The penalty for drug driving is the same as for drink driving – a maximum of €5,000 fine and up to 6 months imprisonment on summary conviction.
