Leaked Warzone 2 Battle Pass trailer shows off new map system

Warzone 2.0 is launching tomorrow, alongside Season 1 content and the all-new Battle Pass system.

But we can actually get a good look at the all-new Battle Pass system today because it seems someone over at Activision accidentally pulled the trigger on the trailer a day early. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is rolling out some big changes when it launches tomorrow. Alongside new features, a number of systems have been overhauled – including the Battle Pass.

And while we've had a brief overview of how it'll work, we just got an even more in-depth look courtesy of the official trailer which has apparently been posted a day early.

Modern Warfare 2 shares the Battle Pass with Warzone 2.0 so the changes will affect everyone playing the newest Call of Duty titles. CharlieIntel posted the trailer on its Twitter account, saying it was released early by Call of Duty Australia channels. There's no source, and I'm struggling to find it myself, so it could be that it's since been removed. But you can check it out below:

The map system replaces the linear tiers, with Activision leaning into the same approach that Fortnite took with its own revamped battle pass. Players will have more choices and be able to decide on the items they want to unlock, rather than being funnelled down an arbitrary path.

The trailer doesn't present us with any significant, new details, but it does give us a good look at what the Warzone 2.0 Battle Pass will look like when it goes live. And just to remind you, that'll be tomorrow, Wednesday November 16 at 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT.

There are 20 sectors, with five items in each one. You can unlock items with Battle Token Tier Skips – earned through gameplay. And of course, as with previous battle passes, some items will be free. In this case, 20 of them, including new weapons, and COD points, by the looks of things. Once you've ticked off all of the sectors, you can go on to earn bonus rewards, so there's still some value there for you.

The price was notably absent, but we'll find out how much it'll set you back tomorrow. Ideally, we'll have an update from Activision before launch but it's likely that the Warzone 2.0 Battle Pass will come in at 1,000 COD points – which you can buy for £8.49 / $9.99 / AU$14.95 in real money.
