The actual lasting impacts include a massive injection to the local economy, tourist board and entertainment industry but it's the experience, charm and community that's made it incomparable to other events.
There's nothing quite like the bonkers array of musical excellence you're delivered annually, let alone how quickly some of the acts rise to superstardom. In the last decade alone, the shift in grandeur is shocking to look back at since it's always felt like the contest has been this huge, chaotic spectacle.
