- Toxic debris from President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom project has been dumped at the public East Potomac Golf Links.
- A study by the National Park Service revealed the debris, excavated from the White House’s demolished East Wing, tested positive for lead, pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and other toxic chemicals.
- Around 30,000 cubic yards of excavated soil have been deposited at the golf course since October 2025.
- A Department of the Interior spokesperson said that the debris was tested multiple times and met all legal standards, claiming a “thorough process was followed”.
- President Trump has reportedly expressed interest in rebranding the golf course as the ‘Washington National Golf Course’.
