During a recent court session, Judge Juan Merchan received a submission from the parties at 1:05 p.m. The lawyers engaged in discussions about the law and the language to be used in instructing the jury, often making reference to 'yellow' and 'blue' edits on the document.

When disagreements arose, each side had the opportunity to propose disputed language using a color-coded system. The proposed edits were then submitted to the judge for resolution during the conference.
