Lawrence Shankland in Hearts penalty quip as he shares how he'd deal with Celtic pressure situation

He's not expecting it - but Lawrence Shankland says a penalty away at FC Zurich is a good insight into what taking one at a full Celtic Park may be like.

The striker has three goals in as many games ahead of the trip to Glasgow to face Celtic on Sunday. His most recent was from the penalty spot in a 2-1 Europa League play-off first leg defeat against the Swiss champions, but the forward's goal has put them right in the mix to turn that scoreline around at Tynecastle next Thursday.

Sunday's Premiership battle comes first though and it will be the first time Shankland has played at Parkhead in front of fans, with his only other outing coming for Dundee United when games were behind closed doors due to Covid. It was a big chance from 12 yards on Thursday and while another isn't expected against the Hoops, the Hearts hitman says he now feels better equipped to deal with such situations.

He told the Edinburgh Evening News: "That will be good preparation if we get one there [at Celtic]. I doubt it, right enough.

"The more practice you can get in those situations the better because then you can deal with that pressure. I've only played there once with Dundee United and it was during lockdown so the place was empty.

"We lost 3-0 in the end. I've always been in the lower leagues and then the place was empty when we went there in the Premiership. It will be good. I'm going there with a good team so hopefully, we can make our mark."
