A West Midlands law firm has launched a recruitment drive which will see it add 100 new staff to the business over the next 18 months.
Talbots Law, which runs seven offices across the Black Country and Worcestershire, said it was looking to hire new faces across all areas of the practice including senior legal positions and admin posts.
The law firm, which became an employee ownership trust last year, is in the process of creating the roles which it said reflected the company's expansion across all legal areas including conveyancing, corporate, employment, family and trusts and estates.
It will grow its payroll by around 25 per cent, adding to the 300 staff it already employs at offices in Codsall, Dudley, Edgbaston, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Stourbridge and Wolverhampton.
The news comes as the firm becomes the latest to be named an accredited Living Wage employer which means it has been certified by the Living Wage Foundation as a business paying higher than the national minimum wage.
The real Living Wage is £9.90 per hour outside London and £11.05 in the capital versus the minimum wage of between £4.30 and £8.91 depending on a person's age, with no London weighting.
Talbots joins a group of around 9,000 UK businesses which have now been signed up to pay the Living Wage including Nationwide, Ikea, KPMG and Persimmon Homes.
Chief executive Dave Hodgetts said: "As a management team, we've made a commitment to continue our ethos of putting our people at the heart of our business, so the decision to attain accredited Living Wage Employer status was a no-brainer.
"We are committed to providing our clients with the best possible service and having happy, well-paid, motivated staff encourages that."
