Lautaro Martinez doubles down on Inter 'plan' in transfer blow to Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal

Lautaro Martinez has confirmed that he plans to stay at Inter Milan, despite interest from clubs across Europe. Premier League and London trio Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been linked with a move for the Argentine in recent months, but it looks as though he's set to stay put in Italy.

Martinez's agent Alejandro Camano insisted that he was happy in the Serie A last month, saying: "We are not depending on a transfer. He is at Inter, he is happy, the city is wonderful.

"Sometimes the press publishes things about a transfer, but Lautaro is thinking about Inter, giving the people of Inter joy, becoming champions and working for the World Cup."

Now, Martinez has doubled down on those suggestions as he confirmed his intention to stay at Inter. As cited by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, the 24-year-old forward said: "My plan is clear: I really want to stay at Inter next season. I've not received communications from the club as of today. I want to continue at Inter next season."

Inter's perilous financial situation could force things to change in the coming weeks and months, but it appears as though the striker will remain in Milan for now.

All three London clubs are looking to strengthen in the centre-forward position this summer. With Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner's futures in doubt, Chelsea are reportedly interested in making a move for the Argentine. Additionally, a reunion between Martinez and Antonio Conte has been touted, whilst Arsenal are set to lose Alexandre Lacazette to Lyon and possibly Eddie Nketiah should he change his mind once more about a new deal.

It looks as though they'll have to wait a little longer to make a move, but who knows for sure? After all, stranger things have happened in football.
