Lauren Laverne poked fun at herself after her debut as Pointless co-host brought an unfortunate category regarding UK prime ministers and their tenures.

The 44-year-old radio DJ and presenter was making her first appearance in the Pointless chair alongside host Alexander Armstrong on Thursday as a host of celebrity faces share the job after Richard Osman stepped away from the role earlier this year.

Former Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay, The Last Leg's Alex Brooker, actor Stephen Mangan, former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq and comedian Ed Gamble, alongside Laverne, have been chosen to succeed Osman.
