Lionesses captain Millie Bright has defended Lauren James after her red card against Nigeria and said the England squad will rally round the young Chelsea star.

James was sent off for a petulant stamp on Michelle Alozie three minutes before the end of normal time, before the Lionesses eventually progressed to the World Cup quarter-finals on penalties after 120 goalless minutes.
