To describe Lauren Goodger’s love life as a rollercoaster could be deemed an understatement as the reality star has enjoyed a whirlwind romance that led to motherhood and heartache.
The 35-year-old former The Only Way Is Essex star began dating 24-year-old Charles Drury – with the pair welcoming a daughter named Larose last July.
But when Larose experienced a health scare, Charles broke off the romance in November due to ‘stress’ before he and Lauren reconciled last month.
However, during his time away from Lauren, Charles embarked on a fling with look-a-like model Amy Gilbert – and Lauren kicked Charles out over the love affair, only to reveal she is now pregnant with his second child.
Announcing her latest pregnancy with OK! magazine today, Lauren said: “No matter what happens he’ll always be in their life”.
"I’m being strong and getting on with it. I’m excited about having another baby and if I’m a single mum then great."
She went on: “We’re doing our own thing. It’s been a rocky time and it’s been really hard for me. But I’ve got to focus on the pregnancy and the baby.
"Charlie’s really hurt me so I don’t know what the future holds. At the minute it’s all up in the air."
A source close to Lauren has explained how she is feeling about the new split, telling OK! magazine: "Lauren was really hurt when she found out about Charles’ fling with Amy.
"She was absolutely furious with him and can't understand how he could do this to his family.
"She told him to pack his bags and leave and he has."
Lauren herself is yet to break her silence on the new heartache – but she did open up about Charles leaving her last year and her thoughts on their temporary split.
She previously wrote in her column for new! magazine: “Listen, moving house and having a baby are very stressful things. Having a baby, as well as it being a beautiful and amazing thing, really does test couples.
“For Charlie, it’s a lot of change and I think he was quite overwhelmed with everything. As much as he loves me and Larose, he had to take five minutes out.”
Lauren went on to detail that Charles eventually changed his mind and decided he wanted to “come home” and “wants his family” with the pair then reconciling.
She added at the time that she and Charles were: “really good now.”
Fans have been left stunned by the news that Lauren is pregnant again, six months after she welcomed her first daughter.
Lauren told OK! magazine: "I hadn’t had a period for quite a few weeks, my nipples were killing me and when I was breastfeeding the pain was unbearable. I thought, ‘I bet you I’m pregnant!’ I did a test and it said positive.
“We weren’t very careful and Charlie was really pleased, but being honest I was really in two minds about it. I was like, ‘I’m just getting myself back together – I’m going back to square one. Is this fair?’ You get real mum guilt, like, ‘What about Larose?'
“She’s still a baby, she still needs me, I won’t be able to be there for her. A lot went through my mind which is why I’ve held out a bit longer until I’ve announced it.
“Charlie was like, ‘I really want this baby.’ And I said, ‘So do I.’ I made the decision to go ahead with it and I’m so glad I did.”
