Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger has confirmed the heartbreaking news that her newborn daughter Lorena has passed away shortly after being born.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday morning, Lauren, 35, shared a black and white image of her baby's hand touching hers.
She wrote alongside it: "Lorena R.I.P 08.07.22 she was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister @babylarose.x … words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth too for my angel to be taken from me.
"there was no pregnancy or labour complications and she was fine & healthy but I am not going into detail right now just know that there was nothing wrong with her or myself she was perfect I can’t understand it she is so so beautiful Larose twin so similar.. I am broken.
"I am back home from hospital Me & Charlie spent as much time with our baby girl Lorena and I haven’t said my goodbye yet."
Lauren continued: "please can I ask photographers to respect our privacy right now as we have a lot of grieving to do and funeral organising that I just need this time & with my baby girl Larose she is my rock that’s getting me through this or I wouldn’t survive…
"I will never ever get over this but I will learn how to live everyday with Lorena in my heart she will be with me always and I will be with her again one day … My [angel emoji] Lorena I love you so much," she added.
Lauren's partner Charles Drury was quick to comment on the post and wrote: "She will always be with us," alongside several heart emojis.
Her former TOWIE co-star Amy Childs wrote: "Sending you love Lauren," while Malin Andersson posted: "Sending you so much love strength and positive energy. Here if you ever need to talk. Take your time.. you are so loved."
Charlotte Crosby simply commented: "Lauren F*cking hell I’m devastated," while former Love Island star Marcel Somerville added: "So sorry for your loss."
Less than two weeks ago, Lauren opened up about her pregnancy in a lengthy Instagram post alongside a photo of her showing off her bare bump.
She told fans: "I’ve been carrying my 2nd baby girl for 39 weeks just waiting for her arrival … it’s been a different experience as I’ve had my hands full with my baby girl @babylarose.x and just been different situation in all.
"But I’m waiting now for this baby girl to arrive , which I will shower with love, kindness strength & all my time and affection a mothers love .. I don’t want to be anywhere else apart from with my baby girls.
"I’ve cried a lot tonight I’ve spent every minute with Larose as it’s not going to be just me & her anymore but it’s another new chapter of my life .. time goes quickly make the most of it .. reason for the deep caption."
She continued: "I’m having my reflexology tomorrow with the lovely @lrussellreflex to make my waters break how I did with Larose ( not saying it’s def going work as again different situation) and I feel scared excited nervous all thoughts going around my head but I can’t wait to have my baby girl in my arms I’ve waited so long for her to arrive and to give Larose the best gift a baby sister for life ..
"just over 11 months between them & they call 2 babies under 1 #irishtwins ( which is where ever I go and see they say the same thing to me and I’ve never heard the expression so it’s not to be offensive I thought sounded quite spiritual)," the reality TV star added.
Lauren gave birth to her daughter Larose in July 2021 and announced in January of this year that she was expecting her second child with Charles.
