Lauren Goodger is preparing to welcome her second child into the world later this month, with a the help of doula teaching her some valuable - and unique - birthing tricks.
The former TOWIE star, 35, and amateur footballer Charles Drury are expecting to welcome their second daughter together into the world very soon, less than a year on from the arrival of their daughter Larose in July 2021.
Ahead of giving birth later this month, Lauren has been working alongside Emma Armstrong aka The Naked Doula - an award-winning birth expert and influencer who is teaching the reality TV star all about the 'floppy face, floppy f**ny' method.
"The Floppy Face Floppy F**ny mantra is influencing births all over the world!" Emma told the Mirror when explaining just how the method works during labour.
"The connection between the jaw and the pelvic floor is truly magical and comes with the anatomy and science to back it!
"By relaxing or releasing the jaw we automatically allow our pelvic floor to relax – this, in turn, leads to manageable contractions allowing the uterus muscles to work efficiently alongside a completely relaxed perineum and vagina!"
Emma went on to claim that the days of "gritted teeth and holding breath" during the pushing stage of labour are long gone.
"Instead, using FFFF is allowing your body to stretch and baby born in an easier and smoother transition," she explained.
"Lauren will use this technique during her contractions and the pushing stage with guidance from myself if needed."
Lauren announced her second pregnancy with Charles in January this year, despite the on-off couple originally splitting shortly after the birth of Larose last year.
The star - who once dated former co-star Mark Wright - first spoke about how her doula is going to be helping her "mentally and physically" when she gives birth on Instagram last week.
"I am doing a natural home birth (again) but this time I will have my doula (Emma) she is amazing and today she was explaining to me what actually the body is doing in labour and understanding this is actually so much better and breathing through and working with contractions not against! ( floppy face floppy f**ny)," the heavily pregnant star explained when captioning a snap of herself and Emma.
"My first labour was 7 hours so this time I am hoping for it to be even more amazing! Today we have spent the day together and I even fell sleep. i drifted off for 5 mins I was so calm haha…"
The Essex native finished on a positive note, writing: "I’m absolutely exhausted with minimal support and hands full 24/7 with my @babylarose.x so I'm so grateful to have this help it’s piece of mind and I can’t wait to share the experience with you guys."
Lauren is due to give birth to her second daughter within the next few weeks.
