Lauren Goodger admits she's 'broken' but gives hopeful update after 'horrendous' pain

Lauren Goodger has opened up on her determination to turn her life around after going through a "horrendous time".

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren, 35, has been through huge heartache in recent months as her baby daughter Lorena died moments after she was born in July.

Lauren said she was "broken" as she announced the tragic news on her Instagram following the ordeal. She later revealed she had demanded a post-mortem on Lorena to determine how she died.

Heartbroken Lauren, who is also mum to daughter Larose, held a funeral for the tot. But it was later reported the reality star was hospitalised with facial injuries as she was allegedly assaulted in the early hours of the morning following the service.

Lauren's boyfriend Charles Drury, who she shares her daughters with, was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has since been bailed until late October.

Charles denies the alleged attack as he told The Sun: "There's a completely different side to stuff."

Now Lauren, who's daughter Larose was unwell earlier this week, has opened up to fans and revealed her determination to overcome her struggles.

Writing on her Instagram story as she posted an image of a chilled coffee, Lauren first began with a light note.

She said of her cold drink: "I am addicted to these every morning you buy from supermarket."

She said: "I just want to say thank you for all the support I am broken one say I'll write my second book and tell my story to all I've been through when I'm old and hopefully it can be someones survival guide!

"But I am strong and will not stay down I get back up and I keep going and what I've found is that I'm doing all the things that I couldn't do while pregnant because I had a baby also as being pregnant and I struggled with 0 energy to do the things I used to do and love like...

"My house is spotless and I have 0 washing it gets cleaned constantly but I really enjoy it and give me a focus to keep onto of and I also love buying things for my home

"I've been asking new things and feel like I want a little change up!

"I'm up everyday the crack of dawn thinks [sic] to my lovely daughter but I get up come down stairs & start the day regardless of how much sleep I've had and lately is not much as I need but ...I go out everyday to do a job even if it's for myself or Larose, I write a list go things that need doing and I get something done everyday positive!

"I don't drink and I don't go out it's not something that's apart of me at this moment in life it's me and Larose .. I have goals in this horrendous time of pain and this time next year how different life will be."

It comes as the Metropolitan Police confirmed the man they arrested on suspicion of assault has been bailed until late October.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told the Mirror: "Police were called at 00:37hrs on Thursday, 4 August to reports of an altercation at a residential address in Upminster, Essex.

"Officers attended. At the scene a woman, aged 30s, was found with facial injuries.
