Laura Whitmore has slammed Love Island fans who branded her dull and overpaid, while also accusing her of wrecking the environment.
The 37-year-old presenter has been hosting the show since 2020, and decided to confront fans about their comments ahead of the new season of the ITV2 dating show airing tomorrow.
Laura, who is married to Love Island narrator Iain Stirling, didn't hold back when addresses her haters on TikTok.
In a one minute long video posted to the social media platform, she said: "Shall we get this out of the way, then we can enjoy the juicy bits! See ya Monday."
The broadcaster called out critics who hit out at her for flying back and fore between Mallorca and London, and revealed she has a clause in her contract to help the environmental impacts that has.
In the video, Laura added she has a clause in her contract with ITV that means the production company must offset any carbon emissions
"I think its ridiculous that Laura flies back and forth - send the guests there!"
She replied: "The villa is Mallorca and Aftersun is London. This is the situation for any host, always has been. I have it in my contract to offset carbon emissions."
Then she came onto her pay check - making the very valid point that no-one asks her hubby how much he pockets from the show.
It read "Laura has the easiest job on the telly! She gets paid £50k a minute. It’s an outrage!"
She replied: "Firstly, Iain has never had attention on money he earns. Why don’t we like women earning money?
"I b****y wish I earned what was written in the press! I only get paid days I work."
Next up was the drama.
"She’s so boring. Why doesn’t she ask more? What’s with all the pauses!?", one of the rumours read.
She replied: "Drama baby! if I was on hosting duties I would be having full on banter. But I can’t, I need to stay as impartial as possible and trust the process.
"Last year with social distancing I couldn’t even give them a hug! And I am a hugger."
And lastly addressing claims she was too old for the show she wrote.
"I don’t plan to date the Love Islanders. I am the HOST. Age means experience and it’s a privilege."
Fans reacted with applause, with one simply writing: "Bravo baby!"
Love Island kicks off tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
