Love Island narrator Iain Sterling has admitted he’s a baby bore who can’t stop giving advice about being a parent.
The comedian is married to Irish TV presenter Laura Whitmore and a doting dad to their two-year-old daughter Stevie.
And while he’s making us laugh every night with his comments about this year’s islanders, he’d prefer to be talking about nappies and feeds.

At least he can do it on his other programme – game show CelebAbility – as team captain Scarlett Moffatt is pregnant.
Iain, 35, said: “I gave Scarlett lots of baby advice – that’s my go-to thing. I’m one of those annoying parents who’s a big fan of baby chat.”
While Love Island is filmed in Mallorca and Iain used to be in a cabin beside the villa, he now does his voice-overs from the London home he shares with Stevie and 38-year-old Laura.
It means he doesn’t have to travel to South Africa for the winter version or Spain for the main show. After 15 years doing stand-up and living out of a suitcase, Iain now enjoys the structure of his everyday life.
He said: “I do stand-up four months out of the year, it’s just nice that a third of my year involves set times and I can have breakfast and lunch with my family and be around in the evenings.”
