Laura Whitmore, Jedward and Piers Morgan lead celebs celebrating St. Patrick's Day

A whole host of celebrities got into the spirit and celebrated St. Patrick's Day in style on March 17.

Irish stars like Laura Whitmore, Jedward and Eamonn Holmes all acknowledged the cultural and religious celebration in their own way on social media throughout the day.

English stars such as Piers Morgan and Good Morning Britain's Charlottle Hawkins also raised a glass of Guinness in honour of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

Taking to her Instagram account on Thursday, Love Island presenter Laura, 36, shared a collection of snaps and videos to commemorate the day - including a heartwarming shot of her young daughter celebrating her first St. Patrick's Day.

The Dublin-born star also promoted an alcohol-free version of one of Ireland's most famous exports, Guinness, on her Instagram Stories.

"Lá Fhéile Phádraig! Irish Leopard print for St Patrick’s Day," Laura captioned the first of three posts to her 1.5million followers - revealing the green ensemble she wore to film an episode of Celebrity Juice earlier in the week.

She then went on to share an hilarious TikTok of her and comedian Keith Lemon appearing to Irish dance together, with the help of some clever editing.

In the third and final post of the day, Laura shared a heartwarming snap of her first-born child - whom she shares with husband Iain Stirling - getting into the spirit of the day.

With her face concealed from the camera, the celebrity couple's baby - who was born at the end of March 2021 - can be seen dressed in a green 'Ireland' jacket and reading a book titled: "Baby's first St. Patrick's Day."

Fellow Irish celebrities Jedward also celebrated their heritage and paid homage to their homeland on Thursday.

"Have a JEPIC St.Patrick’s Day! Proud to be Irish Artists bringing good vibes and music to the world," the twins told their Instagram followers, as they posed with an Irish flag in their home country.

"Happy St. Patrick's Day 2022 to everyone worldwide," they said in union to their fans online.

"Except Vladimir Putin because you can póg mo thóin [kiss my a**e]," Edward added, before they began an Irish jig.

Derry-born Eamonn Holmes pointed out his light green clothing of choice on Thursday morning.

Piers Morgan, who was born in Surrey, also took to Instagram to celebrate his Irish heritage.

"Just 2 types of people in this world," one of the star's followers commented underneath the clip.

"The Irish & those that wish they were.. Happy St Patrick's Everyone. Cheers Piers."
