Tributes have been paid to Laura Nuttall who has died at the age of 23. She raised thousands of pounds for brain cancer charities after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme in 2018.
After being diagnosed with the aggressive form of brain cancer after graduating university, Laura set out on completing a bucket list of life goals. She went on to present the BBC weather forecast and even went fishing with Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer.
In 2021, comedian Peter Kay hosted two question and answer sessions in her honour. He came out of retirement to help raise money for her treatment.

However, last year she was told that the tumour had returned and moved to other parts of her brain. The news came just two weeks after surgery.
Her mum Nicola announced that she had passed away in a heartbreaking tweet this morning (May 22). She said: "I'm heartbroken to share the news that we lost our beautiful Laura in the early hours of this morning.
"She was fierce & tenacious to the end & it was truly the honour of my life to be her mum. We are devastated at the thought of life without our girl, she was a force of nature."
People flocked to the reply section to pay tribute to Laura. Young Lives vs Cancer said: "We are so sad to hear this. We are sending all our love and thoughts your way."
Comedian Diane Morgan wrote: "I’m so sorry. I feel like I got to know her a little bit through your posts. She was an amazing person. I could see that. And she couldn’t have had more loving parents. Sending you tonnes of love and support."
BBC journalist Jeremy Bowen put: "I’m so sorry. I’ve followed your posts on Laura’s illness, with admiration and respect for her, for you and the rest of your family. Many condolences."
Liz Parmar added: "My deepest condolences. Words fail me…. Beautiful courageous Laura has gained her angel wings, she’ll be lovingly watching you from Heavens above. May she rest in peace."
Paul Rogers tweeted: "So sorry for your loss, our deepest condolences to you & your family."
Diane Bigham said: "So sorry for your loss. May you gain strength from her memories. We are supporting you."
