Laura Anderson's ex Gary Lucy reveals gender of their baby in Instagram post

Gary Lucy has announced the gender of his and ex-partner Laura Anderson's unborn baby in an Instagram post.

And a source close to the Scots Love Island star says she is "upset" that the news has been shared without her consent.

Laura is currently pregnant with their first child and has yet to publicly disclose the gender, but today Gary posted on his Instagram that the pair are expecting a girl.

Sharing a picture of the scan and another image which reads: "Daddy's Girl" alongside the words: "For everyone that has been asking... Let's hope she inherits her mummy's looks."

He also captioned the post: "Thanks for all the lovely messages from everyone… so excited to meet my little baby bear soon!" However, he turned the comments for the post off.

A source close to Laura said: “Gary announced the gender news without getting her consent. She’s really upset by this”.

The Celebs Go Dating star previously confirmed she knew the gender of her baby and has already chosen a name, but has left the public in anticipation of the big reveal, admitting she wasn't ready to reveal the news publicly quite yet, and she would share in "due course."

Speaking to Goss.ie, Laura said: "I know what I'm having and I have a name. I will share in due course… I've already done a small [gender reveal party], but I've not shared it publicly yet. But I will soon."

Things between Gary and Laura have been pretty rocky as they split just weeks after finding out they were expecting a child together and have hinted that things aren't great in posts on social media.

Laura previously addressed the split in a Q&A session with fans, with one asking her if they were on good terms and Laura replied: "Definitely not."

However, Laura confirmed that she would try and co-parent with Gary and that her baby would be involved in his four other children's lives. Laura said: "One million per cent. Me and Gary's ex-wife Natasha have already spoken about this and we are very excited for them to half brothers and sisters."
