Some of the country’s biggest comedians will be heading to Manchester for the Laughterama comedy festival this autumn. Adam Buxton, Alan Davies, Sara Pascoe and Father Ted legend Ardal O’Hanlon are among the line-up for this year’s event.
It’ll be back at the Castlefield Bowl for four days of mirth from September 6. The first Laughterama happened last year, and attracted 10,000 comedy fans.
Also on the bill will be Dylan Moran, Russell Kane, Ed Gamble, Phil Wang and Fern Brady from Taskmaster, Tim Key, Troy Hawke, Nina Conti, Rachel Parris and Ivo Graham.

There will also be a host of newcomers including Edinburgh Comedy Award best newcomer nominee Josh Jones, British Comedian of the year for 2022 Dan Tiernan, Sharon Wanjohi, Ania Magliano and Celya Ab.
As well as comedy, the bowl will play host to some of the best food traders in the city, serving up everything from tacos to gyros, as well as a host of craft beers, wines and gins. Co-founder Will Briggs said: “Last year’s festival was epic, the shows and crowds were electric, we couldn't have asked for a stronger first year.
“For this year’s return we’ve been focused on making sure we maintain that feeling by presenting line-ups that will amaze and delight.” Last year’s event saw sell-out sets from the likes of James Acaster, Aisling Bea and Josh Widdicombe.
The festival opens with Adam Buxton’s solo headline show Best of Bug, with tickets at £20. The other shows cost £25, with two sessions taking place on the Saturday and Sunday dates.
You can head to the Laughterama website for ticket and full line-up details.
