'Laughable' - Jamie Carragher trolls Gary Neville with brutal Liverpool reminder

Jamie Carragher has selected Liverpool's 7-0 victory over Manchester United as his favourite game of the season, much to the frustration of Gary Neville.

The Reds' demolition of their Premier League rivals at the start of March is a day that will live long in the memory of supporters, despite this largely being a campaign to forget for Jurgen Klopp's side.

On Sky Sports' commentary team that day were Neville and Carragher, who experienced contrasting emotions when watching their former clubs battle it out at Anfield.

Making the most of this historic occasion, Carragher made sure to poke fun at the ex-United defender, posing for a selfie with his dejected colleague after Darwin Nunez made it 5-0 to Liverpool.

Unsurprisingly choosing this as his standout moment of the campaign, Carragher told Sky Sports: "I don’t even think it was the game, I think it was the selfie I took in the commentary box - me and him. It's been a poor season for Liverpool, you can’t deny that, but that game will still be getting talked about in 10 or 20 years’ time - there is no doubt about it.

"To beat your rivals 7-0 is laughable, isn’t it? 7-0, what was going on? And we didn’t even play that well!"

Neville, of course, did not pick United's 7-0 drubbing as his game to remember, instead opting for Everton's shock 5-1 away win at Brighton.
