No. 3 Michigan narrowly avoided a crushing upset against Illinois on Saturday, and it appears they may have dodged a bullet in the injury department, as well.
Star running back Blake Corum left Saturday’s game with a knee injury, and was unable to return.
Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh told the media after the game that Corum was cleared to return to the game, and that his knee was “structurally good.”
It’s unclear whether or not this injury will impact Corum’s status for next weekend’s showdown against Ohio State, but at least it looks like the Heisman Trophy candidate avoided what could have been a much more serious situation.
