Tottenham Hotspur's Champions League hopes were handed a heartbreaking blow on Sunday when they fell to a late 4-3 defeat at Liverpool.
Spurs' first-half struggles repeated itself once again on Merseyside as they found themselves three goals down within 15 minutes. However, Ryan Mason's men showed tremendous spirit to draw level thanks to goals from Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Richarlison.
Yet it was Liverpool who had the last laugh thanks to Diogo Jota's 94th minute winner seconds after Richarlison's first Premier League goal for the club. Alongside results elsewhere, the defeat leaves Tottenham nine points off the top four.

Attention now turns to Saturday's trip to Villa Park against seventh-placed Aston Villa. The game is expected to play a crucial role in where the both teams finish, with Unai Emery's men level on points with Spurs.
And Mason will be hoping to receive a plethora of good news on the injury-front ahead of the clash after contending with a number of blows. Captain Hugo Lloris missed his second consecutive game at the weekend after going off at half-time against Newcastle.
"My injury does not sound good; I don't know if it's a muscle but around the hip when I kicked. It doesn't sound good," the French goalkeeper said. Mason himself explained: "Obviously had a muscle problem so we are still seeing how that is settling down. Time will tell."
After welcoming Ben Davies and Clement Lenglet back, Spurs will remain without a further four players in Emerson Royal, Yves Bissouma, Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Right-back Emerson is awaiting his own potential return after suffering a knee injury last month. Midfield duo Bissouma and Bentancur remain long-term absentees, as well as Sessegnon.
