Latest snapshot of coronavirus impact

More than 95 per cent of people aged 16 and over are double-vaccinated against COVID-19. (AAP)

AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:

* There have been 57,099,859 vaccine doses administered in the national COVID-19 rollout up to Wednesday, including 54,554 recorded in the previous 24 hours.

* Of that total, 36,202,591 have been administered by Commonwealth facilities, an increase of 41,925 in the previous 24 hours.

* State and territory facilities have administered 20,897,268 vaccines, an increase of 12,629 in the previous 24 hours.

* 97 per cent of people aged 16 and over have had at least one vaccine dose and 95.3 per cent are double-vaccinated.

* A total of 13,215,967 people have received more than two doses with a booster.

AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* 54,094 new cases: 17,856 in NSW, 10,462 in Victoria, 8754 in Queensland, 8144 in Western Australia, 5398 in South Australia, 1843 in Tasmania, 1074 in the ACT and 563 in the Northern Territory.

* The national death toll is 6693 (+45): NSW 2572 (+21), Victoria 2823 (+14), Queensland 795 (+4), South Australia 290 (+1), WA 89 (+2), ACT 47 (+1), NT 36 and Tasmania 41 (+2). (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).

GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Cases: at least 501,934,180

* Deaths: at least 6,189,772

* Vaccine doses administered: 11,129,331,758
