Manchester United welcome Barcelona to Old Trafford in the deciding leg of their Europa League knockout round play-off tie with the aggregate score 2-2. It was an end-to-end match at the Nou Camp with a notable performance from Marcus Rashford who got on the scoresheet again for the Red Devils but missed a golden chance to give United an advantage ahead of the second leg.
For Barcelona, Raphinha provided a player-of-the-match performance which included a 76th-minute equaliser to ensure Xavi and his side go into the second leg on a level playing field and with no away goals rule it bodes well for the Catalan club. La Liga's leaders are in impressive form at the moment having won all but one of their matches in all competitions in 2023 - which was last week's tie against United.
Domestically, both sides have been in strong form going into this tie with Erik ten Hag's side finding themselves just six points behind league leaders Arsenal and three behind second place Manchester City while Barca are holding their in La Liga sitting top of the table with a comfortable eight points as they look to secure their 27th La Liga title and first in since Lionel Messi left the club.
Here are selection of goalscorer odds from Betfred:
Marcus Rashford - 4/1 to score first and 11/8 to score anytime
It is safe to say Rashford is having the best season of his career so far as the England forward has found his name on the scoresheet 24 times in all competitions and has been priced at 4/1 to score first and 11/8 anytime with Betfred. Despite a muscle injury stopping him playing the first two group matches - including the defeat to Real Sociedad - the 25-year-old has picked up four goals in five appearances putting him as joint-top scorer along with Feyenoord's Santiago Gimenez and Sporting Braga's Vitor Oliveira.
Robert Lewandowski - 4/1 and 11/8
Alongside Rashford is the experienced Robert Lewandowski who has been tipped at the same price as his opponent to score in this match. The 35-year-old would have been frustrated with the lack of chances he would have liked in the first leg with just two shots on goal with one of them on target although his blushes were saved thanks to Raphinha's performance on the wing.
However, despite the blank last week, the former Bayern Munich striker has picked up five goals in as many appearances in the Champions League group stages before Barca dropped down to the Europa League play-off rounds. Ten Hag will be keen to keep him quiet for another week but it will be tough for someone who has scored 24 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions.
Wout Weghorst - 6/1 and 2/1
January signing Weghorst has been priced at 6/1 to score first and 2/1 anytime to help guide United to the competition's round of 16 draw on Friday (February 24) and his stats demonstrated why he priced quite well. The striker, on-loan from Championship side Burnley, has picked up 10 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions but only one has been for the Red Devils in 10 appearances while the other nine came while in Turkey playing for Besiktas.
His efforts equalled that of Lewandowski last week in terms of attempted shots but it has been detailed his role is not really about scoring goals as he was at Besiktas but rather supporting the likes of Rashford and Jadon Sancho on the wings as the attacks come from the flanks.
Bruno Fernandes - 7/1 and 5/2
Fernandes has been showing strong signs of the form we were used to seeing back in the 2020/21 season as the attacking midfielder continues to improve under Ten Hag. Two season ago, the 28-year-old finished the season with 28 goals and 17 assists in all competitions but since then has not been able to repeat that form the following or this season. It probably explains why he is priced at 7/1 to score first and 5/2 anytime.
However, the former Sporting CP player has picked up eight goal involvements in his last nine Premier League appearances for United and this could well translate on the Europa League stage where he has only been able to make an assist despite playing every single match this season so far.
Raphinha - 10/1 and 10/3
It is hard to ignore former Leeds United winger Raphinha after his performance last week which has gifted Barca a level-playing field going into the second leg. The Brazilian produced a stand-out performance where he stood out from the pack testing goalkeeper David De Gea on six occasions - three of which were on target.
Ten Hag and his analysts will make sure he is a priority in his tactical gameplan to stop the former Arsenal transfer target but with his odds at 10/1 to score first and 10/3 to score anytime again it is surprising how high the bookies have priced him.
