Liverpool will be desperate to recover the form we have been used to seeing under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp as they head to the Molineux for the second time in four weeks. The Reds are having their worst season under the German as they sit 10th in the Premier League and 10 points behind Manchester United who sit in fourth-place.
The unusual season has seen last season EFL Cup and FA Cup winners knocked out of both competitions early on which could be a positive if they are to finish the season on a high but first need to return to winning ways and return to Anfield with three points against Wolves.
The Reds are the favourites ahead of the trip at 10/11 with Betway while Julen Lopetegui's Wolves are 3/1 to frustrate Klopp's season further and a draw is 13/5. Liverpool have lost five of their nine away PRemier League games this season which is as many as they had across the last two season combined and have conceded three goals in back-to-back league trips against Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion ahead of their clash in the West Midlands.
Betway's Chad Yeomans said: “It’s been a difficult season for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side who start the weekend in ninth place in the table, with just eight wins from 19 games this season. They narrowly got the better of Wolves in an FA Cup replay at Molineux following a 2-2 draw at Anfield a few weeks ago and will be hoping for a similar result here in the league.
“Wolves have showed slight progression on the pitch under Julen Lopetegui and have made a few solid reinforcements in the January transfer window. We’ve boosted them to 12/1 to win 2-1 in the correct score market. Darwin Nunez has received plenty of criticism since joining The Reds and will need to find his scoring boots to keep critics off his back throughout the season, but he’s likely to start up top and we’ve priced him at 9/2 to score the game’s first goal.”
