The new season in Spain is upon us and while there has been plenty of drama off-the-pitch involving one particular club, it promises to be another exciting season on-the-pitch. The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will no doubt battle it out for the La Liga title while Sevilla and perhaps Villarreal fight it out for a place in Europe too.
While Barcelona negotiate around La Liga's tough salary cap regulations, Carlo Ancelotti's Madrid will be looking to for a successful defence of their league title as well as their Champions League trophy too. Xavi has spent big in the summer bringing in the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Jules Kounde, Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen spending almost £140m in the process.
Meanwhile, the title holders - and 6/5 favourites with Betway - will be looking towards £72m-signing Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco to fill in the gap left by Brazilian midfielder Casemiro who joined Manchester United this summer for £60m as well as Antonio Rudiger looking to bolster defensive options for Ancelotti following his free transfer move from Chelsea.
