The 2022 Grand National is finally here, with punters up and down the country poring over the confirmed runners and riders and deciding which to put their money on before the race begins. The iconic steeplechase begins at 5.15pm on Saturday, April 9, and will be shown live on Racing TV and ITV. You can find everything you need to know about the big race here.
Minella Times, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, is the favourite among the bookies to hold onto the crown this weekend. Blackmore became the first woman to win the Grand National last year and comes into this year's race fresh off the back of her Cheltenham Gold Cup win in March. She will ride Minella Times again at Aintree this year as she looks to defend her title. If successful, the nine-year-old racehorse will become only the third back-to-back winner of the National after the legendary Red Rum and Tiger Roll, who did the double in 2019. Minella Times is currently listed as 9/1 with bet365 and 10/1 with Betfred.
Also in the mix is Any Second Now and Snow Leopardess who are both listed as 10/1 with bet365 and 11/1 with Betfred. The latter comes into this year's race in fine form, having won her last three races, with her odds tumbling leading up to this weekend. Any Second Now is looking for redemption having finished third at Aintree 12 months ago behind Minella Times.
