Late-night Greggs BANNED as police fear it will cause a 'wave of crime'

Greggs' flagship store in London's Leicester Square has been banned from selling hot food past 11pm as police claim the sausage roll seller could lead to a "wave of crime" in the area.

The nationwide bakery chain is now set to have a showdown with Westminster Council in court as it appeals its decision to stop the store selling food around the clock.

Greggs opened its Leicester Square store with a blue-carpet premiere in 2022, but Westminster City Council has now denied the store permission to serve hot food 24 hours a day.
