The A52 will be closed in both directions overnight while resurfacing work takes place.
The main road will be closed between Wheatcroft Roundabout and Gamston Roundabout, both on the eastbound and westbound carriageways.
The closure is in effect from 8pm on Tuesday (February 1) and lasts until 6am on Wednesday (February 2).
The work has been planned by Highways England to minimise disruption to traffic.
But late night and early morning commuters will be affected by the closure.
