Roma are unwilling to sell Tammy Abraham for less than £100million this summer after letting Mohamed Salah go for just £34m in the summer of 2017. Manchester United and Arsenal are both believed to be monitoring the Englishman's progress.
The 24-year-old is enjoying a stunning revival in Italy. He's scored 23 goals in all competitions to help Roma reach the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League and earn an England recall for this month's friendlies against Ivory Coast and Switzerland.
Chelsea sold Abraham for just £34m last August and spent £97.5m on his replacement Romelu Lukaku. Ironically, Abraham is just seven goals away from matching Lukaku's tally for Inter Milan last term. The Belgian has scored only 12 goals for Chelsea this season.
According to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero via Team Talk, United are considering making a move for Abraham to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. The veteran forward has been tipped to leave Old Trafford this summer after a difficult season.
Although Ronaldo has scored 18 goals in all competitions for United since his return from Juventus last August, the team have regressed. They're currently fifth in the Premier League, four points behind Arsenal in fourth having played a game more.
The Red Devils will also finish a fifth consecutive campaign without any silverware. They were knocked out of both the EFL Cup and FA Cup early on and recently suffered a drab 2-1 aggregate defeat to La Liga holders Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have been linked with Abraham since last summer. The Gunners are after a new striker after letting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang join Barcelona. Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are also out of contract at the end of the season.
"Tammy Abraham, the King of Rome," Arsenal legend Ian Wright told the Wrighty' House podcast. "The way Tammy has gone over there, he’s lit it up. I couldn’t see [Roma manager Jose] Mourinho taking Tammy there and it working like it’s worked.
"This is where Mourinho baffles me, where he’s said, 'I’ve all people, I’m going to take Tammy. I’m going to take him to Roma and put him in this team.' I remember his first game. He was magnificent from the off. Everything that’s going on around him, it just feels like he’s that guy."
Roma will not want to lose Abraham on the cheap after the Salah debacle. Since joining Liverpool, the 29-year-old has scored 153 goals in 239 appearances - winning the Premier League, Champions League, EFL Cup, Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
Chelsea reportedly inserted a buy-back clause of £68m in Abraham's contract. That would still result in a substantial profit for Roma, although it's perhaps not as much as he's worth. It's believed this clause won't come into force until the summer of 2023.
Despite being just 24, Abraham has already scored more than 100 goals in his professional career. He netted 18 times for Chelsea in the 2019-20 campaign under Frank Lampard before losing his place under Thomas Tuchel last season.
