People are being urged to post anything that you want to arrive before Christmas as soon as possible as Royal Mail workers are set to strike ahead of December 25. Seven strike days have been announced through December for postal workers - including Christmas Eve, meaning there will be delays.
A Royal Mail spokesman said: "Sending a Christmas gift to a friend or loved one? Please continue to refer to our Last Posting Dates and live service updates as some dates have changed to accommodate the disruption due to recent CWU industrial action. We recommend you post as early as possible to ensure your Christmas letters and parcels reach their destination in good time."
The Communication Workers Union (CWU) said its members will walk out on December 9, 11, 14, 15, 23 and 24.
