SRINAGAR: Security forces gunned down two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in the Rainawari area of Srinagar early Wednesday, one of whom was allegedly an independent journalist working for the Pakistan-based banned outfit and using journalism as a front, J&K police said.
Kashmir range IGP Vijay Kumar said terrorists Rayees Ahmad Bhat and Hilal Ahmad Rah aka Shaboo—both from Bijbehara in Anantnag district of south Kashmir—were killed in a shootout that broke out after midnight when a search party approached a house following information that Lashkar operatives were hiding there.
