Lashana Lynch confirms pregnancy at The Day Of The Jackal premiere

Lashana Lynch revealed to the world she is expecting her first child on the red carpet

Lashana Lynch is pregnant with her first child.

The 'No Time To Die' star debuted her bonny baby bump at the premiere of her new TV drama serial 'The Day Of The Jackal' in New York City on Thursday (17.10.24) and is said to have surprised her co-star Eddie Redmayne with the reveal.

Lashana - whose partner is 36-year-old actor Zackary Momoh - donned an animal print sleeveless Ottolinger dress and explained that she opted for the relaxed gown to celebrate "the female figure".

She told Vogue: “I wanted to keep the look really simple, poignant and effective.

“I feel comfortable and at ease, but also in charge of myself. Some red carpet gowns, although beautiful and stunning, feel like you’re putting on a different part of yourself, whereas here I feel like I’m celebrating the female figure.”

The 36-year-old star - who plays the role of Bianca in the adaption of Frederick Forsyth's political novel of the same name - went on to describe her style as "comfy and chill".

She said: "For every premiere, you want to make sure you're putting your best self forward. Sometimes it's easy to forget that what you come with naturally is so beautiful and deserves to be celebrated in its own right.

You don't have to put anything on you in order for you to feel stunning on a red carpet. Here, I get to just be comfy and chill. That's kind of me all over, really."

The Marvel star likes her red carpet looks to pay homage to the roles she is playing, noting her current characters are "breaking through the glass ceiling".

She told the fashion bible: "I have spent many years trying to figure out what I'm trying to represent on the carpet every single time I release a project.

"I've played a lot with colours and textures and lengths and volume and I'm really grateful for those moments because they've helped me grow as a woman.

"The roles that I'm playing right now are very much breaking through the glass ceiling. And I think fashion should also reflect that, so that's what this dress is doing."
