Laser directed at aircraft from Lurgan area, according to report

Police are warning of a potential loss of life after reports of a laser being directed at a commercial aircraft.

The incident is said to have happened in the Lurgan area, according to a police statement issued on Friday morning.

Inspector Gary McCullough said: “We received a report shortly before 8.30pm last night, Thursday 29th September, that a laser had been shone at an aircraft while it was flying over the Lurgan area.
