Some Las Vegas Strip Casino Favorites Come Home

Las Vegas occupies a special place for many regular visitors. For adults who love gambling, world-class dining, and endless entertainment, the city has become an adult Disney World -- a place you wish you were back in nearly as soon as you leave.

All of the things Las Vegas offers can be found elsewhere, but it's not entirely the same. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Association (LVCVA) has used the phrase "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" as a way to promote the decadence of the city.

In reality, that slogan also works when you consider that once you leave Las Vegas it's hard to recapture that same feeling you have while visiting Sin City. It's impossible, of course, to bring Las Vegas home with you.

Yes, you might hold onto a $1 chip or a buy a deck of casino-used cards, but you can't fully capture the Las Vegas experience once you leave the desert city. Now, however, a leading provider of some of Las Vegas (and the world's) most-popular slot machines has partnered to bring those games wherever you might be.

Popular Las Vegas Slots Come Home (With a Twist)

PlayStudios, a popular publisher of free-to-play mobile games that offer real-world rewards to players, has reached a deal with International Game Technology (IGT) to license some of the best-known "chance-based casual games" (slots) for mobile use. This includes “Wolf Run Eclipse,” “Money Mania Pharaoh's Fortune” and a version of what's arguably the most popular slot machine game ever “Wheel of Fortune Cash Link Australian Outback.”

The new games based on these well-known titles will be available on PlayStudios myVegas Slots app later this year. While the initial games will appear exclusively in myVegas Slots, PlayStudios will quickly follow with additional IGT content for MGM Slots Live and POP! Slots, according to a press release.

And while paying slots on your phone for fun can rekindle some of those Las Vegas memories, PlayStudios games, powered by its playAwards platform offers real world benefits that can be used back on the Las Vegas Strip (and elsewhere).

Mobile Play Brings Real-World Rewards

Playing these online slots, and the many others already on the various PlayStudios platforms allows players to earn rewards that can be used at actual MGM Resorts International (MGM) properties as well as at a host of other partners.

"Every time players engage with the company’s top-ranked apps, they earn an in-game currency that can be exchanged for real-world rewards offered by a curated collection of notable partners including MGM Resorts International, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH), Hilton, Wolfgang Puck, Bowlero, and more. The playAWARDS platform currently reaches more than 6 million monthly unique active users and has already given away over $500 million in loyalty perks to highly engaged casual gamers," PlayStudios shared in a press release.

Basically, as you earn in-game currency, you can redeem your winnings for little prizes (like free coffee at some MGM resorts) or bigger ones like a free cruise with Norwegian. The games, like many mobile apps, are free-to-play but do come with the option of in-app purchases.

“IGT is excited to share our incredible content such as Wolf Run Eclipse and player-favorite Wheel of Fortune slot games in a casual game format with PlayStudios’ rapidly growing audience of highly engaged casual gamers,” said IGT Vice President Jennifer Fales.
