Larry Lamb has given an update as to whether or not Gavin and Stacey will return.
The much-loved sitcom returned for a one-off Christmas special back in 2019. It saw the Welsh and Essex families join together once more to host Christmas with everyone under one small roof.
In the episode's final scene, Nessa (Ruth Jones) shockingly proposed to James Corden’s Smithy. But all it did was leave viewers wanting more as the question went unanswered.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, Larry Lamb who played Mick Shipman was joined by his on screen wife, Pam, played by Alison Steadman, lifted the lid on whether or not there would be another Christmas special.
When asked if the sitcom would return, Larry said: “I wouldn't hold your breath - and certainly not this Christmas!”
Speaking about the show's return, while on Lorraine previously, Alison, who was born in Liverpool and grew up in Childwall, said: "Who knows? I don't know. I get asked this every day."
She added: "I'm so proud of it. I loved being in it, I loved it when we did the Christmas special when it came back. If there was to be another show I would definitely want to be in it."
Speaking of working with her on-screen husband, Mick, played by Larry Lamb, the actress said: "Me and Larry, Pam and Mick, it was just easy because we felt right straight away. We didn't have to sort of work at it. When you've got a scene where you've got to jump in bed with someone you've got to feel relaxed."
