In a whirlwind week for Elmo, the beloved Sesame Street character found himself in the middle of a live feud with none other than Larry David. During a recent appearance on the Today show, the 76-year-old Curb Your Enthusiasm star approached Elmo on stage and, to the surprise of the hosts and viewers, grabbed the puppet's face and shook him up. As David walked away, Elmo called out to him, expressing his love and asking to discuss how he was feeling. David's response? A quip, 'Somebody had to do it!'
The interaction left everyone in the studio amused, and even weatherman Al Roker struggled to contain his laughter while attempting to provide a weather report. However, when it came time for hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie to sit down with David, they made him apologize to Elmo for his actions earlier. Requesting a heartfelt apology, David jokingly asked, 'From where? What organ are you talking about?' Eventually, David apologized, albeit with a giggle, and Elmo accepted.
