Speeding motorists will be in the spotlight as Largs police bid to reassure residents.
Officers will carry out safety checks at a number of locations around the popular North Ayrshire seaside town.
Drivers travelling along the A78 in the area can also expect to see a more visible police presence.
The scheme is designed to put the brakes on motorists driving at excessive speed while also focusing on the manner of those sitting behind the wheel.
Sergeant Mark Semple from the Largs policing team says residents want to see action.
He said: "Concerns have been raised by members of the community in relation to speed and manner of driving on the A78 in and around the Largs area.
"Officers will be deploying at locations identified to carry safety checks and promote driver safety.
"I would encourage drivers to take care when travelling in the area and drive to road condition."
