The Los Angeles Police Department issued a Citywide Tactical Alert on Saturday in the area of the University Park Campus at USC. The alert was prompted by a disruption at the center of UPC, leading to the LAPD urging people to avoid the University Park Campus until further notice. As of 7:30 p.m., no arrests or injuries had been reported in connection with the incident.
Prior to the alert, USC took precautionary measures by closing its UPC campus to everyone except residents as tensions began to rise. The university announced that due to a disturbance, the University Park Campus was temporarily closed, limiting access to only residents.
