Lanning, Sutherland guide Delhi Capitals to seven-wicket win over UP Warriorz in WPL

UP UP Warriorz Delhi Capitals Warriorz Meg Lanning Annabel Sutherland Shafali Verma Marizanne Kapp Chinelle Henry Grace Harris

NEW DELHI: Captain Meg Lanning's superb 69 off 49 balls powered Delhi Capitals to a seven-wicket win over UP Warriorz, securing their second victory in the Women's Premier League (WPL) in Vadodara on Wednesday.

Batting first, UP Warriorz posted 166 for seven, led by Kiran Navgire’s explosive 51 off 27 balls. However, the total proved inadequate as Lanning’s innings, supported by Annabel Sutherland’s unbeaten 41 off 35, Marizanne Kapp’s 19 not out off 17, and Shafali Verma’s 16 off 16, guided Delhi to victory with one ball to spare.
